Brownfields: Restoring Value to Properties & the Community

This presentation provides an overview of issues associated with assessment, acquisition and redevelopment of abandoned, idle or underused industrial or commercial properties known as Brownfield sites. There will be a discussion of the criteria for evaluating candidate sites, drivers for redevelopment, risk analysis, planning, the pursuit of agency closure and sources of funding. Lastly, there will be highlights of successful Brownfield redevelopments.
