Design for Water: Resilience and Discovery
April 15, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
FreeThis session explores how design engages with water, conservation, water quality protection, and how resilient design responds to rainfall, storms, and flooding. We will also discuss how design offers teachable moments of water as a resource and mutable element.
As designers focused on designing equitable and resilient educational spaces, this session explores how design engages with water, one of earth’s precious resources: water conservation and protection of water quality at the building, campus and regional scales; resilient design responses to rainfall, storms, flood and inundation; design that offers teachable moments about water as resource and mutable element; strategies that promote a sense of discovery and delight about water; fostering a relationship between designers, users and operators for project performance.
