Know Your Dirt: Basics of Understanding Your Project Site

You will learn how to get a basic understanding about your project site such as topography, wetlands, drainage and environmental conditions; how to read and understand information from a soil report; how to resolve environmental issues; and more.

James D. Succop has more than 30 years of experience in environmental consulting services. He is a Principal of the firm and currently serves as the Subsidiary Director of Environmental Services. Mr. Succop’s professional expertise is largely focused on redevelopment of brownfields properties in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Michael Bianchino, Group Manager, ECS Mid-Atlantic
Mike Bianchino leads the team that is responsible for performing geotechnical studies, testing, observation and related services on a variety of project types in the District of Columbia, Arlington VA, and Montgomery County, MD. An employee of ECS since 2011, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (concentration in Geotechnical Engineering) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
